Thomas Roberts Demolishes DaSalvia For Supporting Bachmann

In fact, they are more than willing to support some of the worst homophobes out there rather than support the LGBT Community. For Jimmy DeSalvia, appearing on MSNBC opposite Thomas Roberts was probably not going to make his day go well.
Roberts is one of three openly gay anchors on the cable news network. The others being Dr. Rachel Maddow and CNN’s Don Lemon. DeSalvia spoke of how the anti-gay gay rights groups is willing to support Bachmann because he feels it is important to replace what he sees as a ‘failed president.’
Roberts had some rather strong words to pass along. She said “You will replace [Obama] with a person who would extinguish you.” He also pointed out that Bachman “doesn’t believe that you have a right in this country to get married, that believes you don’t even have a right in this country to be gay because she co-owns a clinic that will convert you.

Man, compare this clip to the disastrous CNN footage of Don Lemon speaking to Jeffrey Toobin. Lemon managed to get every detail of his segment completely wrong, mistaking New York's previous attempts at the issue with Prop 8 in California (!?!), and reporting that NY is the most populous state in the nation. Great job Don. It's like saying that Martin Luther King was killed in the Ford Theater in Dallas by John David Chapman. Thanks to Thomas Roberts there's at least one openly gay newscaster who's not completely embarrassing. MSNBC has its problems, but CNN is a total joke now.
