Which Forum Script Should You Use With Your WordPress Powered Website?

I am a big fan of forums. They are a great way to encourage people to return to your site on a daily basis. I ran several forums over the last 10 years and still actively involved in some too. Forums thrive on websites that have lots of content for visitors, so they work well with blogs and websites set content.

There are many options available to you on the forum, some good, some not so good. WP Mods I chose to bbPress, forum solution slightly by the creators of Wordpress.It integrates well with WordPress and you can use your database of blogs to user roles ie the visitors do not need to register both your blog and your forum login from a work with two.

Many other scripts also use this forum for what is known as a bridge WordPress. The bridge ensures that member information is shared or copied from the database for the blog forum. It is worth making if you require visitors to register your site to read the contents or make a comment.

However, for most sites I do not think the user information to be shared between WordPress and the script forum that 99% of people will sign up to the rostrum. And as I showed two weeks ago, it is very easy to customize the design of a forum so that it harmonizes with the rest of your site, all you need to do is ensure that it uses the same style sheet and has the same header and footer.

So do not be put off by how a script to integrate with WordPress as a forum for the most part the forum works best as a stand alone script anyway, and users do not even know a different script is used, since design is similar to the main site (not to be, but I think it looks better!).

Today I will look at some of the best forum scripts on the web and look into the advantages and disadvantages of using them.I hope this article makes you decide which forum to use much easier
