Deputies stop a million dollars of cocaine from reaching Wilmington area
CLINTON, NC (WECT) - Deputies in Sampson County arrested two men from Wilmington Tuesday, who are accused of hauling what they estimate to be more than a million dollars worth of cocaine.
The Sampson County Sheriff's Office says deputies stopped a 1996 Chevy Impala near mile marker 343 on Interstate 40 eastbound around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon for a moving violation. During the stop, the sheriff's office said a canine detected drugs. After searching deputies found about five kilograms of cocaine and 16.1 grams of crack cocaine inside the Impala. Sampson County Sheriff Jimmy Thornton says the drugs have a street value of more than a million dollars.
The driver of the vehicle, Ulysses Rogers III, 24 from Wilmington, and Trezale Brown, 26 and also from Wilmington were arrested. They're charged with Trafficking in Cocaine by Possession, Trafficking in Cocaine by Transport, Trafficking in Cocaine by Manufacturing and Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine.
They're being held in the Sampson County Detention Center on a quarter million dollar bond each.

The dashboard plastic around the radio is actually connected as a single unit for the rest of the lower edge. But before the dash lower panel can be removed, the panel of black plastic around the instrument cluster must also be removed. The bottom of this panel snaps into the dash near the steering wheel. Step At the bottom of the dashboard near the pedals, to locate and remove six screws 7mm bolt. Step Remove the fuse panel on the far left of the dashboard. Remove a bolt 7mm screws hidden behind the cover of the fuse box. Step Remove the two screws that secure the bolt 7mm top of the plastic panel around the screen edge.
