Leadership
Founder-Led by Design
YATIR's founding year will be led by its founder, who will oversee organizational formation, fundraising, school network development, institutional partnerships, and the proposed 2027–2028 family assistance pilot.
The initial operating model is designed to establish the infrastructure necessary for a national initiative while allocating $285,000 of the proposed $500,000 campaign to educational access assistance.
The First-Year Objective
Establish YATIR's school network, family navigation process, and funding infrastructure, with the preliminary goal of helping 3–5 eligible households access appropriate Jewish education for the 2027–2028 academic year.
A preliminary planning ambition, not a guaranteed outcome. Subject to funding, school admissions, eligibility requirements, organizational readiness, and independent approval.
Leadership & Accountability
Executive compensation is a proposed budget amount, subject to independent approval, comparable compensation benchmarking, and applicable nonprofit requirements. The founder will not participate in decisions about her compensation.
No financial assistance is reserved for the founder's family. Awards will be governed by objective eligibility criteria, independent review, and available funding. Any potential benefit involving the founder's family will require separate legal review and safeguards under YATIR's final charitable structure.
The proposed pilot
The First Families. The First Opportunities.
Assistance would address individually assessed funding gaps, not a fixed scholarship for every child. A preliminary ambition of 3–5 eligible households depends on actual needs, school aid, family contributions, secured funding, and independent approval. Relocation is a substantial household-level cost and reduces how many families the fund can serve.
| Assistance type | Example award | Number | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day School Tuition (the family's share after financial aid and other assistance) | $15,000 | 4 | $60,000 |
| Specialized program assistance | $35,000 | 5 | $175,000 |
| Relocation and transition grants | $25,000 | 2 | $50,000 |
Some students may receive both educational and relocation assistance. These examples are not approved grants, fixed awards, or guaranteed beneficiary counts. Relocation grants may support households with more than one child.
